The sun had just peaked over the horizon and was starting to light up the Arena. It was early, but Darci had set up the targets nonetheless. She wouldn't classify herself as an early bird, or a night owl for that matter, but the girl knew that no one would be around. While she had grown in confidence over the few years of being here...she still preferred to do things out of the eyes of others. She had finally discovered that she had a knack for archery. She did practice around others, but this was different. She had the ability to create something solid out of soundwaves.
The girl set up the second target and started to march away from it. As she walked she made sure that there were no prying eyes. She didn't want anyone seeing what she was doing. The girl needed to concentrate, and people watching her just didn't help. She walked the distance that was standard for archery. She would start with this. If it worked, maybe she could try further. Darci picked up the bow that she had placed to mark where she would start. "You got this Darci." Her soft voice whispered the reassurance to herself. Perhaps just to convince herself of it's truth. "Just breathe" She exhaled.
Closing her eyes, the girl took a deep breath in. Pulling the bow string thought. Nothing else in her hands, she started to whistle. Forming the sound into an arrow that sat exactly where the wooden one would. She watched the sound waves condense and solidify. She ceased making the sound, and focused on the shape. Now the hard part. Looking at the target, she took one more breath in, only to exhaled and release.
