Mairin punched percy in the arm and laughed as she ran off toward the water, turning she yelled " Come on slow pokes it will be great fun! Come on Keira!" Mairin hoped the girl would come everyone need the water sometimes. It seemed to wash away your problems at least just for the moment anyways. Diving into the lake she felt relief as her soreness and troubles just seemed to disappearinto waves. She may not control it like Percy does but she still loved it, the water called to her begging her to stay and never leave. Coming back to the surface she checked to see if they had followed or not.

Keira looked unsure to the water but slowly and a bit hesitantly she took her jacket off setting it on the sand before heading to the water. She stopped momentarily an inch from the water. She took a small deep breathe before she slowly walked into the water. She acted as if she expected something bad to happen to her. When nothing happened she relaxed and moved father into the water soon joining Mairin. She smiled some. "I'm not a slow poke " she said smiling some. She kept glanced back to Percy who was still at the shore."though I think he might be " she said.

[PERCY JACKSON]

Percy watched the two girls run into the water. He turned around and grabbed his board. Mairin ran into the water, jumping in without her board. Both of the girls didn't grab a board. Percy rolled his eyes, how were they supposed to surf without boards. He grabbed his and then grabbed a second one he had stashed, just in case. He didn't really need a board, he could just use the water, but then he was using his powers. It was sort of like cheating. 
The girls were laughing and looking back at him.
"Coming, I'm coming!" He ran with both boards, one under each arm. He hit the water, a surfboard molding under his feet. It took him through the water, and he dropped a board off with Mairin and one with Keira. 
"You two forgot your boards!"

Keira smiled some relaxing some for once as she was in the water. She watched Percy quietly as he looked to her and Mairin already in the water. Keira hadn't really realized she left her board she'd use to surf. SHE still had no clue how to surf and for a moment wondered if they'd show her how. Though she was snapped from her thoughts when Percy came over and dropped boards down for her and Mairin. She smiled a little and said"yeah....sorry slipped my mind but thanks " She said smiling some.she grabbed onto the board quietly and looked to the two.

Slightly embarrassed at forgetting her board she swam back to the beach where Percy and Keira were. "Ha ha sorry my bad!" She laughed and smiled as she came out of the water. "So Keira you ready to learn? I'm not as good as Percy but I still know my way around the water!" Mairin and Percy starting teaching Keira how to surf. Percy did most of the instructing and really helped Keira out by steadying her board. When it was just Mairin and Percy he usually tried to tip her over and make her crash instead of helping her out. She was having a great time and hoped Keira was too!

"Wanting to surf is all well and good." Percy was saying. "But you have to feel it to be good at it. Feel the water beneath you, feel the way your board wants to move across the water." He demonstrated on the sand as he took on a surfing stance and pretended to weave through the tides of the water. 
Kiera seemed to be enjoying herself, at least he hoped that was what was happening. She had only fallen a few times, and the last time out she stayed up for most of the wave. She was doing really well. 
Mairin was beaming, looking like she was the happiest girl in the world. Percy loved seeing her so happy. 
"All right ladies, let's go out for another run!" he picked up his board and jumped back into the surf.

Keira blinked and watched quietly. She listened and watched as Percy showed her what to do. She blinked and nodded. She had fallen a coup of times and the last time she went to try it out she stayed up most of the wave. She watched as Percy picked his board up and she did the same and followed them quietly out into the water.She hoped maybe this time she would be able to stay up longer on the board while surfing but she wasn't all too sure she could. She knew that Percy and Mairin were children of Poseidon so it wouldn't be hard for them though it was a lot for her to understand it.

Kiera had been doing great! Percy was an excellent teacher! It felt so good to let lose and just have an afternoon of fun. She had run a couple of waves and didn't want to stop but she had to go meet someone." Hey guys!" She yelled at the other two "I have to go but I'll see both of you later!" She smiled at Kiera hoping they would meet again soon. Mairin hugged her brother and ran off of the beach leaving quickly so he wouldn't question her. She needed to go and meet james they were discussing something about the cabins, just business stuff but she was still excited.

Percy's eyes narrowed as Mairin left the beach. She had to meet someone? Who was she meeting? Was it a boy? Was it James? Why didn't she tell him? He should follow her. 

These thoughts all crossed his mind in a moment and he brushed all of them aside. Mairin was her own person, she could meet anyone she wanted, though if it was James, he expected to hear about it later. 

He looked back at Kiera, she was doing really well. But by the looks of the sun, he should probably get back as well. Annabeth would be waiting for him. 

"I should actually get going as well, girlfriend stuff. You did great today!" he said taking the board from her so she could walk easier. "Next time I'm at Camp if you want another lesson, just let me know! But Mairin is here all the time, she could help you when ever you want!"

Keira blinked watching as Mairin left. She smiled a little a waved bye. She held her board quietly before looking around. She didn't think how late it was getting let alone when Percy needed to go. Though when he took the board and said he needed to go too. She just nodded picking her jacket up shaking sand from it before putting it back on and she looked at him ."yeah ok I'll try to remember that " she said before she just started to bit her own farewell before she left the beach heading out for the Hades Cabin,in silence.
