Markie loved Saturdays at her market. The place was alive with the people of New Rome shopping for fruits and veggies for various public and private gatherings, and, of course, seeing what bargains they could find. It was one of the busier days of the week, but Markie liked it like that. True, part of it was because such crowds meant good business, but it was also because Markie got to interact with so many people, many of them old friends from her Camp Jupiter days.
Then there were the people who traveled there from Camp Half-Blood. That was still so strange to her. For so long, the Greek demi-gods were viewed as enemies, or at least not ones to be trusted. Now, after the conflict with Gaea, there had been a truce. Markie was good with that. She welcomed all to het market in general. She just hoped that all the recent rumors wouldn't cause a new conflict. Markie was well trained from her Camp Jupiter days, and was always ready to defend New Rome, but if another war could be avoided, she would be perfectly content.
For now, she tensed to her market, happy to assist any who needed it.
