PERSONALITY



Reyna is strong willed and determined. She is seen as a strict leader of the 12th Legion, and does not like to be questioned. Honesty is important to her. She will often act guarded or
dubious of those she does not know, or who she feels have lied to her. While Reyna has proven herself to be an excellent leader to the Legion, she has never had much taste for the politics of the legion. She maintained her station as Praetor not through honeyed words, but through skill and determination. Reyna has also proven herself to be empathetic, she dislikes seeing others suffer unnecessarily and does her best to understand her allies. 


HISTORY



-Reyna Ramirez grew up in Puerto Rico with her older sister Hylla. Both her sister and her are daughters of Bellona.
-Reyna's father suffered from PTSD and an obsession with their family lineage. He devolved into madness, and often would become dangerous. At one point, he hurt Hylla who had always done her best to protect Reyna- in defense of Hylla, Reyna killed their father. --After that Hylla fled Puerto Rico with Reyna and got them both jobs at C.C's spa and resort. While they were both working there Percy and Annabeth visited the spa- and left after releasing pirates who burned the spa down and captured Reyna and Hylla. Being daughters of Bellona, they learned how to fight and defend themselves while with the pirates.
-Eventually the two sisters left the pirates. When Reyna learned of Camp Jupiter she wanted to join the camp. Hylla disagreed, still holding resentment towards male Demigods. Hylla had planned for both of them to find refuge with the Amazons in Seattle. Despite disagreeing, Hylla could see that Reyna would not be happy with the Amazons- and ultimately they parted ways.
-Reyna arrived to the legion and despite having no letters- her mother Bellona provided a recommendation- she had already declared that the Ramirez-Arellano family line would play pivotal roles in many battles. With Bellona speaking for Reyna she was accepted into the 2nd Cohort.
-She quickly proved her worth in both skill and determination. She proved herself in War Games again and again- and trained hard.
-When she was giving the role as Praetor she dedicated hours of time going over paperwork and studying to be the best Praetor she could be. 
-She had been friends with Jason since her early days in the Legion, and was glad to have him as her co-preator. When he was taken by Juno she dedicated as much time and resources as she could spare- without neglecting her duties to the legion- to find him, to no avail.
-Reyna supported Percy as best she could after determining she could trust him. He was her solution to preventing Octavian in claiming Praetorship.
-True to Bellona's words, her sister Hylla proved essential in protecting Camp Jupiter, and Reyna herself was pivotal in stopping Gaia by delivering the Athena Parthenons to New York.


EXPLANATION OF ABILITY SPECIALTY



Empowerment: Reyna can share her strength and courage with others. But she does not like to do so, since Reyna feels they will think that she is controlling them. It is more effective in large groups. As a side-affect, she feels any emotions of those she grants strength to. Her tattoo glows and burns when she uses this ability..
