Markie had been so busy with the market in New Rome that she hadn't really had time to travel, not that she traveled all that much anyway. She was born and raised in New Rome after all, and never had a reason to go into the outside world. However, she did want to see the other camp. She had heard that the Greek incarnation of her grandfather, Bacchus, helped run the camp, which was pretty cool, and she heard about the plants that grew there. She was quite anxious to see them.
Wearing a purple summer dress and heels, Markie went through the Labyrinth and made her way to Camp Half-Blood. When she arrived, the first thing she noticed was how nice the weather was. A perfect day, just like the weather in New Rome. Seemed the gods were good on both sides. She walked about and smiled and greeted other campers, remembering not to act so disciplined as she might back home given how different the training was for the Greek Campers. Soon, she found the strawberry fields and took in the smell.
"Wonderful," she said to herself. "You certainly live up to your reputation, my friends." Markie never had qualms about talking to plants, give her dual godly ancestry.
