PERSONALITY

Raised on an island, Steph is very adventurous. She loves the outdoors and is very active. She's highly athletic, especially when it comes to swimming. She's just a ball of energy in general. She's fairly calm around most people though, friendly but a bit on the quiet side. She is also highly confused by the modern world and is still adjusting to everything, so she often comes off as a bit oblivious. Being energetic, she can also be fairly impulsive at times.

HISTORY

Judith Coast was the wife of a naval captain named Reginald Coast. When the captain went off to fight in World War One, Judith was left quite lonely on the island they lived on off the coast of Florida. She spent her days fishing and swimming to keep her mind off it, but her love for the sea attracted Poseidon, who spent some time with her and developed a romance. Judith tried to resist him being a married woman, but the god was far too charming. The two ended up having a child together named Stephanie. When Reginald returned, Judith lied and said that the child was her and her husband's, claiming she was conceived on one of Reginald's rare visits home.

The family eventually moved to Nevada, living in a small town near Las Vegas due to a military job Reginald had acquired. Judith saw Stephanie missed the ocean and was highly bored, so for fun she would take the girl to Las Vegas. The place was not the center of entertainment it would eventually become, but it was still a lively place to visit for the time. During one visit on her sixteenth birthday, Steph was attracted by a strange place called the Lotus Hotel. Curiously she stepped in to see several kids who looked her age having a blast. There were also large swimming pools, which drew her interest right away. Before she knew it, she was trapped in the place for decades to come.

As per the wicked magic of the hotel, Steph didn't physically age. She was completely under the place's spell until not long ago when a mysterious figure entered the hotel, one who appeared to be a rugged old sailor. He got her out of there and gave her over to a Satyr, who escorted her to Camp Half-Blood. There, she was claimed by Poseidon. In the past three months, she has become part of camp, and has attempted to adjust to her new life in the modern world. Who the stranger was, and why she was taken out of the hotel after so long is a mystery, one that will perhaps be solved as time goes on.

EXPLANATION OF ABILITY SPECIALTY
Hydrokinesis is the ability to control water, and, as a child of Poseidon, the ability to gain renewed energy from water and swim underwater without worry of drowning. The downside if that Hydrokinesis is a highly unstable and unpredictable ability as water itself is highly unstable and unpredictable. If the one welding the power does not fully focus, the power could endanger them as well as others.
