Chill Day? (Accalia)

Stacy had busted her backside in training that day. She was well used to it, but for reasons she was pushed harder- running, sparring, obstacle course. It all wore her out. She knew where she was going afterward... the baths. She was going to lay in that amazing water and just relax until dinner time. She hoped it would keep her from waking up sore the next morning as the next day looked to be crazy too.

Clad in her one-piece, purple Camp Jupiter swimsuit, something quite tasteful but made to allow her to relax when wearing it, she stepped into the baths. She poked her toes in the water to test it... perfect as always. She then got in and laid back. In her mind, it was time to just let her cares drift away. However, when she closed her eyes and began to doze off to sleep, she found that not to be the case...

Camp Half-Blood... Camp Jupiter... her siblings... a lady in pink armor... her mother? A scream... an unearthly roar. A voice... "Your love will be tested, Daughter of Venus..." A wicked laugh.

Stacy woke up with a gasp and looked around. She gulped, feeling she wasn't alone in the room.

ACCALIA PHILLIPS

Accalia was ready for a relaxing afternoon at the baths, but that wasn't in the cards. When she walked into the large room she saw another camper leaned back, asleep. Accalia panicked, and for a moment she almost ran for help instead of moving toward her. But, as they were told, sleeping wasn't good right now and they had to be cautious. Day sleeping in WATER seemed even worse to Accalia, who knew what could happen to her. As she moved forward she recognized Stacy, an Evocati like herself. As she started to move forward, Stacy woke up. Accalia wasn't sure what state her mind would be in, so she approached slowly. "Hey, Stacy... are you okay? You were sleeping," she said slowly.

Stacy finally got herself focused. Why did she pass out in the water? Was she that tired? She definitely shouldn't have done it knowing she had been having those weird dreams lately? The strange voice...her being called "Daughter of Venus"... she had a strange feeling they were more than just weird dreams. Once she was focused, she saw Accalia and heard her concern. She tried her best to laugh the situation off, but sounded a bit awkward in the process.

"Um... yeah," she chuckled. "Guess I was a bit more tired from training than I thought. Whew, long, crazy day with my Cohort. Good thing you're here to keep me awake, right? That is to say, you're more than welcomed to join me. Um... how are you, Accalia?" She knew she had to have sounded like a total goofball, and probably totally gave it away that something was wrong. She decided to not continue to ramble on for a moment and just laid back in the pool. She took a long deep breath before closing her eyes... only to remember closing her eyes was bad. She quickly splashed some water on her face to get herself back up and alert again.

Stacy moved and Accalia took a step back. There was no way of knowing if she was in attack mode, like other people had been. That was one reason Accalia had been sneaking to her treehouse hideout more often than usual. She needed to sleep far away from other people. There were real demons in her past, and if those showed up in realistic dreams... she was more scared for her cohort than for herself. Stacy said she was tired from training and Accalia sighed with relief moving forward again, no longer concerned for her well being. "Of course, of course," Accalia agreed, sitting at the end of the baths and putting her feet and legs inside for now. "I'm okay, Stac. I..." Stacy splashed herself in the face and Accalia sighed, slipping into the water and setting her robe aside. 'Hey," she turned toward Stacy, "It's hard to stay awake for me too. Don't blame yourself."

Stacy took a long, deep breath. Maybe it would help to talk to someone about the dream... or vision. Then again, maybe Accalia was having problems of her own and didn't want to hear about it. It seemed a lot of people were having problems those days, and that some of those problems DID involve dreams. Stacy heard it wasn't just in Camp Jupiter, but Half-Blood as well. Stacy dipped down into the water a bit.

"My Cohort's Centurions have really been running us ragged, more so than before," she said. "It's like... they're expecting something big to happen again like when Saturn brought back the Titans or the whole thing with Gaea... or maybe they're just heck-bent on us winning the next War Games, I don't know. Everything's so weird again lately. I kind of liked that break where we all just went back to normal training and stuff." Stacy had only been at the camp for a few years, but in that time she had seen a lot. She guessed that was the life of a demi-god though. After all, it all started with her hoping she would keep a wolf goddess from killing her. That should have given her a big clue life was going to be messed up from that point on.
