Andi was getting a bit weary of her frequent trips to the Forges. It was her own fault though. She hot arrows during archery practice, and she shot them for a good but of her free time. Shooting arrows was one of the few things that seemed to make her anywhere close to happy at camp. But because she shot them so much, she quickly wore out the ones in her quiver and had to get new ones made. So, it was off to the Forge indeed. Andi sighed a bit as she stepped into the hit area. While the weather was perfect at camp, she quickly broke a sweat in the Forge. It reminded her of the other day when she spent time in the Greenhouses with Sunny Lee Meadows while Sunny Lee used her in-born ability to steam up the air. Only this was twice as bad. As least she knew Hephaestus' kids were reliable to make a fresh set. They hadn't let her down yet anyway. After all, if children of the God of the Forge couldn't give one quality, than who could? Andi looked upon until she saw someone walk by. "Hey... can you make me a new set again please?" she said, straight-forward as always. Alaric Drake

Ric was used to various campers coming in and asking for special weapons repaired or made. It was a part of being a child of Hephaestus and spending most of his time hunkered down in the forges. The dark was comforting, but the constant interruptions did get a little annoying sometimes. Especially when they expected him to read their mind. A girl came down and stopped him as he passed with a blade under his arm and a few iron ingots in his hand. She asked him to make her a new set. Vague. “Of what? Arrows? What kind?” he asked as he continued to walk back to his area. No one had assigned areas, but everyone had an unspoken agreement that once you claimed a work area, a table, bench, and part of the forge that was yours, it was yours, unless you traded, there was a fair bit of swapping that happened.

Andi was taken back by the guy'a response. She guessed he hadn't seen her quiver in the somewhat dark area, or guessed that was what Andi needed since she was down in the forge all the time asking for arrows. Then again, she didn't seem to recognize the guy, so maybe that's why he didn't know. Still... Andi really didn't mesh well with guys. With people in general, she didn't connect on a romantic level- guys or girls or non-binary. But with guys specifically, she often didn't connect at all. She didn't hate men. She just found them very annoying. "Arrows... geez... sorry," she said. Andi had a very specific type of arrows that she used for practice, and she went on to lay out the specifics for the guy. Naturally, Andi had to speak of them as if she knew anything and everything there was to know about arrows, which honestly she did. "I need at least one quiver-full, two if you have time, but before you say anything I DO understand that all of you are busy down here. I honestly just need enough to get through the next week, and for me, that's a quiver-full." She sighed at that, wondering if the guy was going to have another go at her. Alaric Drake

Arrows, of course. Arrows were one of his least favorite things to make, but they were easy enough, how hard was it to put some metal on a stick and smooth it? They were working on a backlog, but honestly when weren’t they? Those who chose to spend their time in the forges were never short on work. She said that she understood that it would take him some time, but she needed at least a quiver to get her through the week. Of course she did. People always had their demands. Though hers was a lot more reasonable than some of the others he heard. He couldn’t count the number of times that someone had demanded he stop what he was doing and fix their sword right this moment.
He thought for a moment, inspected her arrows, and shrugged. “Sure. I could use a break anyway. I can probably have a quiver in about an hour?” he wasn’t unreasonable and it was a nice brain break. And he could work on a few more in some of his downtime so she had a big of a stock.

A quiver of arrows in an hour. That didn't seem like a problem. There was a lot Andi could do in an hour that would distract her from doing the one thing she actually enjoyed. She could read some Greek. She could watch the Demeter and Dionysus kids make plants grow. That had to at least be more exciting that watching grass grow by itself. She could train with other weapons. She was pretty good with a sword, but she could use some work. Yep, lots of things she could do... Andi sighed. She was going to be soooo bored. "Um... so you Hephaestus offspring can really handle the fire down here, huh?" she asked, making idle convo for some reason. "I'm sort of surprised we Apollo kids can't take the heat like you can. I mean... we're the children of the Sun God after all." She then sighed. She sounded like a derp. Why was she talking to this guy anyway? She didn't care to talk to most males, and this one didn't seem like he wanted her bothering him. "Um... guess I'll pop back by in an hour then. Thanks for helping and all." She could be civil and polite. There was that. Alaric Drake
