PERSONALITY

Positives: Aline is as brave and tough as they come, a true warrior. She is also a true hunter, and devoted to Artemis and her sisters. She is very non-nonsense and takes every hunt and fight seriously. She is brilliant in the area of weapons and strategy, and also an animal lover, as evident by her hunting buddy, a Golden Retriever named Blaze. Negatives: Aline can have a fiery temper a la her father. She can control it often, but if she blows her top at you, run and hide. She can also be overly-serious and lacks a strong sense of humor. Not best to invite her to any parties. Even before her vow, she had no interest in romance and it would be in your best interest not to flirt with her.

HISTORY

Aline Guerrero's very last name means warrior. Her mother, grandparents, and great-grandfathers all served in the military in a fighting capacity. Her mother's background attracted Ares, who had a romance with her and Aline was born. Selena Guerrero tried to stay home to raise Aline, but was called to serve in the Persian Gulf War. Tragically, Selena was killed. Aline went to live with her grandparents, who both taught her discipline, which she had no issue with. Aline wanted to do her mother proud and join the military one day, and by her early teens had already learned a lot of basic training skills. Aline focused on this, and had very little interest in romance. In fact, she showed no interest in boys or girls, and was deemed asexual.

What happened next was, for some time, the story of many Greek Demi-Gods. Aline was almost attacked by a couple of monsters, saved by a Satyr, and brought to Camp Half-Blood. Her father, Ares, claimed her shortly after. Aline was fierce and furious in her training, and it was clear she would be a great fighter. However, Aline always felt like she was missing something, that she had another calling. Then came the first time she had seen the Hunters of Artemis at the camp. Aline was enthralled by them and how they carried themselves, as well as their cause. However, she couldn't bring herself to go to them, feeling she was not worthy to serve such a Goddess or with such mighty women, despite her skills.

In the end, the Hunters came to her in a sense. At age seventeen, Aline was on her way back to camp when a pair of Laistrygonian Giants looking for trouble attacked. The Hunters, who had been after the giants due to their trouble-making, appeared and Aline helped the Hunters fight them off. One of the Hunters was killed and, in a rage, Aline used the fallen Hunter's bow and arrow to kill the giant who murdered her. The Hunters brought Aline to Artemis, who saw worth in her, and asked if she wanted to make the vow. Aline said yes without hesitation. She had no desire for romance and a great desire to be something greater than a mere Demi-God.

The fallen Hunter had a Golden Retriever who was among the hunting dogs. Because Aline avenged the dog's fallen mistress, she attached herself to Aline and the two became the best of friends. Later, the dog had a pup Aline called Blaze, and after Blaze's mother had gone on, her offspring became Aline's new running buddy. Today, Aline is a strong and proud member of the Hunters of Artemis, ever loyal to her goddess and her sisters. She is a great warrior as well, and feels she has done her mother, grandparents, and, yes, even her godly father proud.



EXPLANATION OF ABILITY SPECIALTY

Aline's strongest inherited ability is Telumkinesis. She knows most any weapon in and out, and can adapt to new weapons easily, as well as manipulate weapons. However, since Aline has focused on older weapons such as swords, bow and arrows, and spears since becoming a hunter, she can find it harder to focus on manipulating more modern weapons such as machine guns and grenades. She can do it, but it takes time, and often time she might not have in a fight. So, Aline tends to stick to what she's used to.
