Sibling Non-Rivalry (Ethan)

When the two camps were allowed to interact a la trips through the Labyrinth, Stacy saw a chance to meet more siblings. Stacy embraced platonic and even appreciated romantic love, but familial love was something special for her. Growing up she was an only child as her stepmother was unable to have children, so she was thrilled to meet other offspring of Venus at Camp Jupiter, and then later offspring of her mother's Greek incarnation, Aphrodite, at Camp Half-Blood. One particular half-sibling she bonded with was Ethan. They just hit it off quickly and Stacy was always psyched to see him when she could visit.

Stacy emerged from the Labyrinth, clad in her purple Camp Jupiter shirt, jeans, and sneakers. As she headed to the Aphrodite cabin, she thought about the Greek and Roman god names. It was cool that Roman ones got the outer space names, either actual planet names or fictional ones in the case of Vulcan. However, she had to give most awesome sounding name to Aphrodite. It just sounded like a love name. She also heard someone say that of all the gods, the Aphrodite and Venus incarnations were most similar to one another. Maybe that's why she got along so well with those like Ethan.

With a big smile, she knocked on the cabin door, giving Ethan her special knock so he would know it was her.

It didn’t surprise Ethan that he and Stacy had hit it off so well at their first meeting once the labyrinth was opened again. Ethan hit it off with almost everyone. As the cabin leader for Aphrodite, he liked to think that he was the big brother in charge around the cabin. Not in a dectorial way, but since it was quite clear that their mother wasn’t going to swoop in and mediate disputes between her children, Ethan almost tried to take on a somewhat parental role, at least with the younger ones. He was responsible, and his talent with charmspeak didn’t hurt either.

He knew today was a day that the camps would be able to mingle, and he chose to stay at Camp Half-blood rather than travel to Camp Jupiter on this particular day. He just wasn’t feeling the journey, and he preferred the East Coast to the West Coast if he was being honest. But around midmorning, he heard a knock at the door of the Aphrodite cabin. Not just any knock, he knew just from the way she knocked that his half-sister was on the other side of the door. Okay, that was specific, he had about a hundred half-sisters, probably way more. More specifically, he knew it was Stacy. She had a way of making herself known. He walked over quickly and threw the door open. “I should have known you’d be coming.” he smirked to the blonde.

As Stacy waited for the door to be open, some Hephaestus kids passed by. She grinned and waved at that, automatically thinking of a certain Vulcan offspring she was very fond of back at Camp Jupiter. Stacy knew there was some history between Aphrodite and Hephaestus, Venus and Vulcan, and it wasn't pretty. That didn't bother Stacy in regards to said special someone. Sometimes you had to look past someone's godly parents... without angering them too much of course.

The door opened and Stacy beamed when she saw Ethan. She moved in and gave him a huge hug. Yeah, Legionnaires were supposed to be double-tough and soldier-like, but she was a Daughter of Venus. Love was often about hugs.

"Heeeey!" she said. "I missed you, broster! How have you been?" Once she let him go, she was still grinning like the adorable goofball that she was. "Okay, I'm here! Let's go hang out!" She then looked in the cabin and waved. "Hi other half-siblings! How goes it?" She then looked back at Ethan. "Dude, I have soooo much to tell you! Total War Game news. Third Cohort represented! Woot-Woot!" She then did a little dance at this. Total Cali girl!

Ethan loved all his siblings, and he even liked most of them. It was nice, growing up as an only child, to now have more siblings than he could count or even remember. Of course he knew the ones in his cabin, but all those who came before him, and those that would come after him, he’d never know. How many people had he passed in his lifetime that he was actually related to? He and Stacy had never been strangers, not even the first time they met. She hugged him, he wrapped his arms around her too, giving his half-sister a squeeze. “I missed you too.” he admitted easily. She asked how he saw, greeted their other siblings, and then she went onto explaining that the war games had gone well at her camp and that her cohort had represented well. He smirked and nodded. “I expect nothing less. Congrats sis.” he said, offering her a high five for her efforts. “I’ve been good, nothing much going on here really…” he wasn’t lying, he had been fairly chill since their last encounter. Just a lot of working out, matchmaking, and training. The usual.

Stacy grinned ear to ear when Ethan hugged her back and said he missed her as well. It was nice to be missed and thought of by family. She guessed all of her half-siblings there didn't wonder about her on a regular basis, but she hadn't connected with them like she had Ethan. It was all good. She figured at some point she would get to know a good few of them better. Heck, she still had half-siblings in New Rome that she needed to properly meet.

"Yeah, it's been a minute. I need to come visit more often, but things have been cray on top of cray back at camp. Given what I've heard, you probably know what I mean." Stacy had thought the weird happenings had just gone on at Camp Jupiter until she heard ramblings that Camp Half-Blood was experiencing the same, which was kind of scary. She wondered if the next big Kronus or Gaea level threat to existence was upon them.

Back to happy news. Stacy gave her bro a high five over the War Games.

"Yep, Mars kid from Second Cohort tried to move in on me, I broke out the love power, and BOOM... he fell for it big time and I left him all googly-eyed before we went on to sweet, sweet victory. About time too. Third Cohort's been biting it in War Games." Ethan said there wasn't much going on. This relieved Stacy as she had hoped he was okay since hearing the rumors.

"Well, let's get something going on while I'm here! What do you want to do?"
