PERSONALITY

Ethan is a very strong leader. He's confident, loud, and able to easily grab the attention of a crowd. He is extremely charismatic and loves to be silly when the situation calls for it (when he's not working hard on something or taking care of proper business). He's friendly and kind. He loves to stay active and has been known to plan various sporting events with the campers whenever he can or senses that there might be interest. 

Ethan wouldn't call himself a gossip, but other people might use that word to describe him. He likes to keep up with the goings-on around camp and know what everyone is getting up to. he's been known to play match-maker with some of the younger campers and is happy to help anyone scheme to fall in love whenever they ask him to. He's a sucker for love, even though he's not in love himself (currently). 

He does like to think of himself as a big brother figure within the Aphrodite cabin and just in general. He doesn't really tolerate bullying and will stand up for anyone that he sees needing the help. He's a larger man, fairly tall, and sports a broad build, so he's not exactly lacking when it comes to physical intimidation. 

HISTORY

Ethan was dropped on his fathers doorstep when he was a newborn. His step-mother, his fathers wife, had found the baby and the attached note and threw an absolute fit about it to his father. His father, James Macree had his share of affairs during his marriage. As a professional football player, he had his choice of women, or so he liked to think, at least. His wife, Julia, stayed with him, however, through every affair, every bit of bad press, every kid who popped up as a result of his bad decision (there were at least 3 that Ethan knew about). But Ethan was different. James couldn't pawn this kid off on it's mother to raise - James had to keep him. But that didn't mean he had to change his lifestyle for him. And he surely didn't. Julia, who was only with James for the fame and fortune that came with such a lifestyle, didn't much care for having a son to take care of either.

He was raised by his Grandmother who lived alone and enjoyed the company of her grandson since her husband had died when Ethan was 3 years old and his father was still making some effort to raise him. When Ethan was 8, his grandmother was killed by a monster in a grocery store while they were out shopping. A Satyr, who had been keeping tabs on Ethan recently, got him out of there unharmed and helped him to camp, where he'd be ever since. He never went home to see his dad, but his dad did send him money frequently. The doctors who tended to his grandmother labeled her death as a heart attack. Ethan was torn up about it for months and vowed to revenge her, even at the age of 8 he had a desire to protect. 

He went unclaimed for his first 3ish years at camp and when he was 12, just after he had his first kiss with a camper who he had been kind of dating (how pre-teens do) all summer, his mother claimed him. He was the son of Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, lust, and beauty. He felt a little embarrassed by his claiming, but he couldn't say it didn't make sense. He was starting to become a little more into his looks (and he kept caring more and more as he got older) and he did find himself quite interested in forming relationships, not just for himself, but for other people as well. 


EXPLANATION OF ABILITY SPECIALTY

Ethan possesses the power of charm-speak. He's learned how to use it very well and loves to use it when he needs to command a crowd, lead a team, or even just chat up some girl he's got his eye on that week. It was a power that bloomed a little later, around the age of 11 he found himself becoming a lot more convincing and better able to convert people to his side and get them to listen and sometimes even want to obey him. He kept his skills sharp and used them often. It sometimes got him in trouble, but he tried to use it for good and not just to his own benefit.
