PERSONALITY

Zelena is the resident oddball type. She is usually quiet and keeps to herself and isn't fond of being annoyed or interrupted from whatever she's working on, unless it's her half-siblings. Zelena does have a bond with other offspring of Hecate, but it takes some serious shell-cracking for others to get her to befriend them. Zee shows little outward emotion and delivers most of what she says in a deadpan manner. Also outwardly, she doesn't seem to let a lot get to her.

Zelena does hide a good bit of emotions though- her anger over her father, her longing to meet her goddess mother at last, and a drive to please her mother as great spell-caster. She has a creative mind and spirit, as seen in her studying, and she has a fondness for night creatures such as bats. If one becomes her friend, she is pretty loyal, though more of a good listener than an advice giver. Though she's not a huge fan of the physical training of a camper, she is a brave enough soul in the face of danger.

HISTORY

Marco Lopez had the potential to be a great stage magician. He was clever and crafty and knew numerous tricks from an early age as his father and grandfather were great stage magicians as well. The potential was so great that, as a young man, he attracted the attention of the goddess Hecate, who had a brief affair with him in the disguise of his assistant. However, when Marco began using his gifts for ill profit, she abandoned him, along with the child they had together... Zelena.

Zelena grew up traveling with her father all over the Northeastern United States, going from city to city and ripping easily manipulated people off. Zelena wanted to be a true magician as she felt she had the potential as her father did. She didn't approve of her father's antics, but never said anything. Likewise, whenever Zelena asked about her mother, who she never got to know, Marco said very little. Her time with her father ended when Marco's crimes caught up with him and he was arrested and imprisoned. At age twelve, Zelena went to live with her aunt in New Jersey... but not for long.

As with many Demi-Gods, Zelena became the target of monsters who sought Half-Bloods out. One day while at school, a strange man confronted Zelena and told her she needed to come with him immediately. Zelena discovered why when a Hellhound nearly pounced on them both. The "man" turned out to be a Satyr named Woodward Pine. Pine helped her narrowly escape and brought her to Camp Half-Blood. Not long after, she was claimed by her mother Hecate. When Zelena learned more about her mother and what she herself was, Zelena developed a sense of pride and sought to do her mother proud by learning to use her in-born gifts.

In the three years since, Zelena has done her part in the wars with Kronus and Gaea's forces, and has witnessed the unification of two great camps. She has yet to meet her mother, but hopes one day that will change.

EXPLANATION OF ABILITY SPECIALTY

Mystiokinesis is a common power of Hecate's children. It is the ability to cast and perform legit feats of magic. As one's more powerful, a Demi-God of Hecate can control/manipulate the weather and turn people into animals. The downside of this is this is one of the most unstable and unpredictable of Demi-God abilities. One wrong incantation, one wrong move and the power can endanger the one using and it and one it affects. Performing magic is also extremely draining for the user, and can only be done so much at a time.
