As much as Leo was slightly nervous about talking Cal out of camp, he knew they both needed some air. Some time with just the two of them. Sure, sure, sure, they had gotten a lot of it back in the day sailing home from Ogygia, but psssshhh they could always use more. The Leoster could always use more Calyspo any day of the week. But, alas, he was still young and they were still unable to spend every moment together, unlike on the Argo 2 during their journey back to Camp. It had been a year since they closed the doors of death and six months since he and Cal got back to camp, and he was ready for some alone time.
He had been working on a smaller ship, not quite Argo 2 size, for small getaways like the one he was planning right now. He had told Calypso the day before to pack an overnight bag, and now he was jogging up to her door and knocking on it. "Helloooo!? Hot Leo delivery for Callll," he called.

Calypso had been mortal for almost a year; a year in three days time in fact. Though she was far happier than she had ever been being a Titaness trapped on the island of Ogygia, it still took some getting used to. She couldn't manipulate the mist anymore, she wasn't immune to cuts and bruises (or burns), and she couldn't heal someone with the touch of her hands. What she could do however, is feel love. Really, truly feel like she could allow herself to be in love with a crazy, zaney boy and have him love her back without leaving. There were times where Calypso still woke up wondering if Leo had disappeared from the camp, but then she'd see him bounding towards her for breakfast and her doubts would fly away.
She heard Leo call for her at the doorway of the cabin that had been named after her, and she smiled softly. She picked up her overnight back and swept out of the cabin. "Hey you," she said, leaning in to give him a kiss. "So what exactly do you have planned that involves an overnight bag?" she asked curiously, knowing that with Leo it could be anything. She still sometimes forgot that they could go wherever they wanted; add that to the list of things Calypso was happy to try and get used to.

"Hey you," Awe, the sound of that voice was enough to drive anyone crazy, but especially Leo. And he already was crazy, so you can only imagine the fireworks going off in his stomach. He kissed her back, just as quickly, wanting to linger but not wanting to go against schedule. She asked what he had planned that involved the bag and he grinned devilishly, "oh, you know, just a romantic getaway for the cutest couple at camp," his eyes quickly darted around, looking for Piper and Jason to challenge him. No sign of them. "Come along, my sweet!" he reached out and took her and and swept across camp.
Soon, they were going into the forest, toward bunker 9, and Leo led them inside. "Congratulations, you have won your very own flying mini boat!" he pulled a curtain back to reveal the small ship for two, "what do you want to name her?"

Calypso felt her heart skip a beat as Leo gave a very quick explanation on where they were going; romantic getaway, cutest couple. "Don't let Jason and Piper hear you," she teased, referring to Leo's best friend and his girlfriend. She followed him and stopped at the sight of the mini boat in front of them. She laughed out loud, throwing her arms around Leo. "You built this for us?" she asked, amazed yet again by her boyfriends skills. She shouldn't be; he was the son of Hephaestus after all, but sometimes she just simply couldn't help herself. She paused, pondering what they should name it. "I know...the Ogygias," she said, giving him a triumphant look. "The island that brought you to me, and finally set me free to be with you. Hopefully the two never meet," she said, kissing him on the cheek. She began to walk towards the boat, then stopped to look at Leo. He was just so darn cute, and she couldn't help but smile. "Coming, babe?" she asked him.

Leo loved that she knew exactly what he was thinking. She always had a way of doing that. He gladly accepted her arms being throne around him and laughed, wrapping his arms around her waist. Then she said the name, The Ogygias, and he grinned at her reasoning. "I think that's perfect. Just like you," she kissed his cheek but he quickly caught her lips with his before she walked away.
He let her go, staring at her in awe. How did he get so amazing blessed!? Leo never felt like he had been lucky until her. She turned back to him, smiling, and asked if was coming. "Right. I'm supposed to do more than just stare at you. Duh," he smacked himself on the forehead and then laughed, moving after her, catching her hand and leading her onto the boat.
"So, I've already predetermined our destination if you don't mind!"

Calypso smiled at Leo when he announced he had pre-determined their destination. “I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s with you,” she said, before laughing. “As long as it’s not to this ships’ namesake,” she teased. As she walked onto the boat with Leo, she tripped, stumbling a little before she caught herself. “Gods I don’t think I’ll ever get used to being mortal,” she grumbled quiety. She looked over at Leo and gave him a small smile. She had given up her immortality to grow old with him; it was the one thing, the beacon of light that kept her going each day. Leo was the first person to ever keep his promise of coming back to her; she could never fully express just how much that meant.
“So do I get a hint of where we’re going at least?” she asked him as a small breeze fluttered through her hair. “And just so you know, as long as you don’t get lost you’re free to stare all you want,” she added, giving him a triumphant smirk. “Though, if I’m with you I wouldn’t mind getting lost.”

Leo grinned as she said she'd go anywhere with him. It was a miracle that he had a girl saying that to him who actually meant it. Heck, this whole thing was a miracle. He chuckled as she claimed that she wouldn't go to the ships namesake and he nodded, "as much as I love that good ol' place, there is no way we're going back," he agreed. Then she stumbled a little and Leo offered his arm to catch her. He still feel incredibly guilty about the whole mortal thing, so the comment made him frown a little even though she was smiling softly at him. He gave a nod but didn't say anything.
Then she asked if she could have a hint and he shook his head, turning back to her as she said he could stare. "Well, we might get a little lost. I've never been there before. There's your clue!" he offered, his grin returning. "And you feel free to stare. I know I look incredibly handsome while manning a ship!" he puffed out his chest as if to prove it.

Calypso looked at Leo apologetically. “Don’t get me wrong Leo; I would make the choice to become mortal in order to be with you a thousand and one times over if I had to. It’s just….a very abrupt adjustment. Like, if you lost your abilities from Hephaestus, it’d take some getting used to,” she explained to him. She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek; she really did mean it when she said she’d choose mortality over a life without him. Being on that island for millennia had been a hellish nightmare; she just got really lucky that the love of her life ended up being the one to rescue her for good.
She raised an eyebrow as he gave her a clue. “Why do I have a feeling you don’t know where we're going either?” she teased. She shuffled up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. She rested her head on his shoulder and sighed happily. “Alright Leo, let’s get going,” she declared.

Leo listened as Calypso spoke about the adjustment to being mortal. He understood that it must be hard, and he shuddered at the idea of losing his own abilities. Although, not that long ago he would have given anything to be rid of his fire abilities. But his ability to work with machines? Never. "Hey babe, it's okay. I get it," he said, leaning into her kiss on his cheek.
Soon, though, she was teasing that he didn't know where he was going either and he shrugged innocently. "Eh, I may or may not," he claimed. He kept his hands on the steering as she wrapped her arms around his waist, but leaned back against her slightly. He pressed the proper commands to open up the hangar door and they began to rise out, their journey started.
He set a course and lifted his hands from the controls, turning around in her arms to face her, "how are you?" he asked, his brow furrowing. He often worried about her, even when she was right next to him.

Calypso smiled softly as Leo turned around in her arms. She knew that no matter what Leo said there was no way to understand fully the experience she had gone through going from an immortal goddess to mortal. She had felt the wave of electricity flow through her body, and she hadn't needed the message from Zeus to tell her she had lost all her powers. She thought she would be more upset about this, but Leo had made the transition far easier. "Yes silly, I'm fine," she said, leaning in to kiss him. She pulled back after a few moments and studied his face. "How are you? You did reincarnate on the way to Oygias six months ago," she asked him, eyebrow raised. It certainly had been an eventful six months.

She said she was fine, but he didn't fully believe her. Still, he was happy for that kiss and melted into it. Every time they kissed he wondered if this was how others felt when they were set on fire. He had never really experienced that kind of heat until he found her. When she pulled back, she asked how he was and mentioned his little reincarnation issue. "I'm good... I wasn't dead for that long so I don't really feel like I had that much of an experience with it," he said, giving a small shrug. "Mainly I just..." was he up for a serious conversation right now? This was Leo Valdez, jokester supreme, the cream of the funny crop, the prince of thieves! No, wait, that last one was Robin Hood. "Sometimes I feel guilty, for doing that to my friends. I mean, now they're all separated and I don't feel like... part of the group anymore," he said slowly.

Calypso gave a half shrug; he had a fair point he had only been dead for about five minutes before Festus was able to administer the cure. “I’m just glad the cure worked; though knowing the way the Gods had treated me for the millennia before you came into my life, I would not have put that past them,” she said, adding the last bit in darkly. The Gods, in her opinion, had a sick sense of humor when it came to anyone who did one TINY thing to defy them, like throw them on an island and sending them unavailable men to fall in love with. It was ridiculous to say the least. Calypos’ expression grew serious as Leo admitted he sometimes felt like he was not part of the group anymore. Guilty too; Percy Jackson had been one of the men sent to her island and she had harbored feelings for him until Leo came along. “You know your friends still love you, I mean you sacrificed yourself for them for Gods sake!” she exclaimed, resting her chin on his shoulder. She hated when he felt guilty like this; she far preferred her happy wise-cracking Leo to the somewhat seriously sad Leo.
