Percy was right. They'd never learn. she shrugged, sighing and turning away from the door as well back to the beautiful place in front of them. she folded her arms over her chest. "Well... guess we should check it ou-" before she finished her sentence, Percy was already taking a few steps. "hey, wait," she said, catching up to him a bit and grabbing his wrist, "we better tie the rope again. we need to stick together," she hadn't noticed the people yet because she was fumbling in her pack for the rope... He didn't quite hear what Annabeth said about the rope and started walking out farther, toward the people. "Hey! Guys, where is this?" he called out to them, walking toward the people. Several of the children stopped their game and looked up at him. they cocked their heads at him and looked at him with a curious look. Percy waved with a big smile. Then suddenly the sun seemed to go red and the children's smiles turned to sharp toothed grins. They filed into an arrow formation and started charging at Percy. His eyes went wide and he started reeling backward. "Uh, Annabeth!!!" he called as he finally got himself turned around so he could start to run toward her.

"Perc, hey-" he was walking away from her and he looked up, eyes widened as the sun darkened and a strange group of angry little people were... charging them? She groaned as Percy ran toward her, looking rather foolish, mind you, and lifted her knife, "Percy, come on!" she said, as if he wasn't coming already, as she turned and ran the other way. They couldn't' get out the door so she just ran, turning to catch Percys hand once he reached her. 'Why does this always happen? she growled under her breath, leading him wherever she could run.
Soon she was running up a hill, attempting to drag Percy with her. once at the top she stopped abruptly, looking down. nope, not a hill. A cliff. "Any bright ideas seaweed brain?!"

Percy ran toward Annabeth, taking her hand as he got closer her. He ignored her angry mutterings under her breath and charged up the hill. They stopped at the top, and just in time because it turned out the hill ended in a cliff, plunging down several hundred feet to the ocean. Annabeth looked at him, exasperated. She held out her knife defensively, but against the hoard of little people coming after them... it looks comical. Though not at the same time since Percy knew what Annabeth could do with that knife. Ideas? Maybe one. He put his arm around Annabeth's waist and smiled at her with a crazy smile. "Yeah, I've got an idea, but you won't like it." he said. Then he took a few steps backward, pulling her with him. He saluted to the little people then fell backward off of the cliff, plummeting down toward the clear blue water below. Even as they fell, he started churning the water below them, building it up so it would catch them before their momentum would get so much that they would splatter on impact.

He took her hand as they ran and Annabeth grumbled. Sure, they had to stick together and that made it easier, but they were facing certain death so couldn't her heart pounding in her ears give it a rest for a second? Seriously. Then he said he had an idea but she wouldn't like it. Her eyes widened, "Percy don't even th-" and then they were falling backward. She yelped and grabbed onto him, hoping that her grip was causing him at least a little pain as payback for making her do this. Soon they were making contact with the water that seemed to meet them mid air and she clutched him tighter, closing her eyes and holding her breath in they went under the current.

There wasn't much to controling water, you thought it and the water did it. Though for some reason that didn't seem to click with other people. Percy held tightly onto Annabeth, her fingernails digging into his back, and he was sure they would leave a mark. The water formed a familiar bubble around them and he squeezed her a little tighter. "That wasn't so bad, The little devils didn't get us, plus now we have a great story to tell when we get back home. Speaking of, how are we going to do that?" He asked calmly as he looked around at the unfamiliar ocean. He knew all the fish, he had been studying them recently, but it didn't help to make the waters feel less foreign. Okay the water never felt that way but he was trying to process what had just happened and his brain wasn't firing on all cylindars.

Annabeth was grateful for the bubble and she took in a breath, but didn't pull back just yet. After he spoke she slowly unwrapped her arms from around him, just enough to survey their surroundings. "Hmm... I'm not sure. I don't know if we're anywhere... earth like?' she said with a furrow of her brow. She had a bad feelings about this. "Can you sense where we are nautically with the latitude and longitude?" she asked. He could always do that, so unless something really bad was happening then he'd be able to now. She didn't feel safe, though, even in this bubble surrounded by Percy's main element. That's why she kept one arm around his waist as she looked around them.
PERCY JACKSON (soooo we could bring Magnus mythology into this and they could be in a totally different realm XD

Percy paused a moment at her question, he should be able to tell where they were. As soon as he thought about it, he knew a lot of information. They were 25 meters from the shore, the ocean was 300 meters deep beneath them, and there was another landmass about a mile or so to the east. But the rest of the information that came into his mind seemed to be in a different language or something, he couldn't figure out what it meant. "Um, we are in the ocean." Was the best answer he could figure out to give Annabeth. She had pulled slightly away from him to look at their surroundings, though her hands still touched his shoulders. The surroundings, It would be a good idea to see where they were. Percy followed Annabeth's lead, glancing around the ocean floor and willing the bubble to take them to the surface. The ocean wasn't anything extraordinary, though perhaps he shouldn't be taking things for their face value here, considering the demon children he had just encountered. A few moments passed and the bubble they were in popped as they bobbed to the surface of the ocean. Waves lapped against them, the sun was bright overhead, no longer red. "The good news is we are not dead. The bad news... I don't think we are in Kansas anymore." Movie quote, seemed appropriate. The land they were closest to was the cliff they had just jumped from. The rocky ledges shot straight up from the water, a few smaller rock towers close to the cliff sprouted from the surface of the ocean. They had never been in any danger of falling on those, not with how Percy could control the water, but it still made his stomach twist to realize he had nearly impaled them both with his reckless moves. He hadn't thought, he just acted. Then again, his instincts had saved him in too many situations for him to discount them now. "There is another land mass that way." He pointed to the land he could feel interrupting the water to the east. "Maybe we'll have better luck there?" He offered. Not only was he still hungry, no Micky D's in sight, but now he was cold. The sun overhead didn't seem to be giving very much heat. (OOC: I think that is a great idea!)
