Everett had never had a penchant for art, apart from the occasional doodle when bored and in possession of a pencil. Never the less it was the arts building he planned on visiting. He’d heard that it was a typical place for the Greek children of Apollo to go, so perhaps he would enjoy it. Besides, as far as he knew they didn’t have a place like this at Camp Jupiter and he wanted to see what the fuss was about.
He entered the building and looked around, confused as to what to do next. He didn’t actually know what you could do here, or where to find the materials to do it. It was clear to see that this was not his usual environment.

People had told Jason that art was supposed to help you center yourself and relax, but all it really did was make him frustrated. It didn't make sense to him, not really. But he was still here, clothes splattered with paint as he tried to find some sort of muse with the colors on the canvas- it wasn't working. He tried painting @piper at one point, but that didn't really work out well. He groaned, just in time to see someone enter the building.
He gave the guy a little wave, "here to find some piece of mind as well?" he asked.

Everett returned the other youth’s wave, relieved to not be left to fend for himself anymore in this strange place. “More out of curiosity, actually. I heard my Greek siblings are regulars here, so I thought I might give this place a shot.” he explained as he approached the other guy. “Everett Crowe.” he introduced himself with a smile, offering his hand for a handshake.
“Interesting choice of canvas.” he teased, gesturing to the paint on the younger man’s clothes. “So what exactly can you do here? Is it just painting, or? I have to admit that I haven’t done a lot of art in my time.”

"Awe, Roman?" Jason said, a little excitedly. "I'm a Roman too. Jason Grace, son of Jupiter," it was almost weird to call himself a Roman, actually. He reached out to shake the guys hand as soon as it was offered. His allegiance had almost completely switch to Greek and for a while now he had been living at Camp Half Blood he was still an Ambassador of sorts for the Romans here at camp, but he likes being here.
Jason chuckled as he looked down at the paint on his clothes. "Aw yes," he looked back at Everett. "Well... there's painting... crafts... erh- floral arranging, I think?' he said, gesturing about the rooms. "I'm also not that into art, to be honest. I just am trying something my girlfriend told me. Trying to center myself."

”Yes.” Everett confirmed. ”Though not for long. Well, technically all my life I suppose, but I didn’t know about it until recently.” “Jupiter, you say? I’m a son of Apollo myself. I believe I’ve heard your name in passing a few times.” Well, he’d heard it more than just a few times for someone who had only been at Camp Jupiter about a month. Not that he meant anything by the statement, he was merely making an observation.
All the other options sounded impossible to Everett so he decided maybe he’d try out painting as well. “So, how’s the centering going then?” he asked as he looked around for equipment. After some poking around he managed to find some paint and a canvas. After a moment’s consideration he grabbed one of the oversized shirts covered with paint that he assumed were meant for not getting said substance all over yourself.
Everett found himself looking at the empty canvas with absolutely no idea what to fill it with. He assumed the painting would just come to him once he set up, but nothing was happening. He couldn’t even decide on what color he wanted to use first. Sure, he’d made some doodles before, but that was with a pencil and he always just drew something that he saw or had recently seen. The room before him didn’t strike him as something he’d want to paint though. “Well. This is much harder than anticipated.”

Jason nodded, "how old are you? I found out when I was really young, a toddler really... my sister is a daughter of Zeus. It's complicated, " he sighed, not really sure how to explain all of that. Plus, the guy probably didn't really need to know all the info. He had heard his name around, eh? This made Jason chuckle. "Yeah, I was a Praetor over at Camp Jupiter for a while. Though, things are different now," he wasn't even the Zeus Cabin Leader over here. Though, he was an ambassador, a liaison between camps.
He laughed, "The centering isn't going too well. I can't think of anything here that really... seems interesting." He watched as Everett approached a canvas, stepping beside him to a separate empty one. He chuckled at the guys words. "Idea. Let's draw ach other," he said, raising an eyebrow in challenge.
